Detectives charge man with child porn offences after raid on Anglican Church

DETECTIVES have charged a man with child porn offences after executing warrants at a church in Sunshine and another address in Sunshine West today.
The arrest came following a 12-month investigation into online child exploitation.
Detectives executed a warrant at the Holy Apostles Anglican Church in Anderson Road, Sunshine, early this morning.
“A 52-year-old man has been charged and bailed with use carriage service to transmit child pornography and use carriage service to cause offence,” Victoria Police spokeswoman Acting Sergeant Melissa Seach said.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
The Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team is made up of investigators from Victoria Police and the Australian Federal Police targeting the national and international influence of child sexual exploitation offences.
