A Queensland man has been charged with historic child sex offences related to the death of a new-born baby in WA's Goldfields region almost 25 years ago.
Police will allege the 55-year-old man sexually assaulted a girl, then aged 13, resulting in the conception of a boy born in July 1995 in Kambalda.
The baby died just hours after birth, and his body was found in a caravan park.

Last month, the boy's mother, now 38, was charged with murder.
WA detectives from the Cold Case Homicide Squad travelled to Queensland last Sunday and arrested the man, who was extradited to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
"It will be alleged the man, who was known to the victim at the time, sexually assaulted the then-13-year-old girl, resulting in the baby being conceived," police said.
"It will be further alleged the man engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with the victim over a number of years when the victim was aged between 11-years-old and 16-years-old."
The man has been charged with six child sex offences including two counts of sexual penetration of a child under 13 and with engaging in a sexual relationship with a child under 16.
