The soon to be redundant NSW Housing Department has little to offer the homeless community. They are long on promises and short on delivery. By miles. Putting a 20 year old expectant mother in a drug and cockroach infested unit an hours walk from the nearest meaningful public transport, with just one light working and expensive specialised light fittings is just not cool. Others given housing are finding a lack of meaningful community leads to loneliness and a lack of desire to eat.
Housing play a community destroying social engineering role in an attempt to maximise the worth of their parasite NGO partners. The taxpayer needs to choose. Solve homelessness or pay again and again for the growth of a bloated ineffective sector as the problem gets worse. And by the way where will your Sydney children/grandchildren afford to live when they leave school?
