May 2011 denotes the month when Legal Aid assesses the suitability of solicitors and lawyers on the care panel for the Central Coast. What this means is that if you are funded by Legal Aid, then you only have solicitors on the appropriate care panel to choose from to look after your case.
Central Coast Care Panel has ...
- Stephen MARKS
- Dennis CHAPMAN
- Elizabeth MORAN
- ???
There are another few solicitors whos names haven't popped up on the Alecomm registers yet, but these guys are definites that we want off the Care Panel, and the reasons for we have outlined below:
- Stephen MARKS has had numerous complaints to the NSW Law Society regarding his behaviour as Legal Aid Solicitor --- he also has been taken to the OLSC (Office of the Legal Services Commissioner) where he has a record for not being a particularly good solicitor. On top of this, when a former client complained to the Law Society about him falling asleep on the bench, he then used his contacts to further prejudice a case in the supreme and district courts.
- Dennis CHAPMAN - well there are numeous articles on him on our site. He is just a lazy old flop who cares much more about lining his pocket than he does actually doing his job. He does not often go against the wishes of the department, which therefore renders him useless as both Client Rep and Child Rep, and when questioned of his ethics, he harasses former clients in public. He has also refused to hand over documents to the parties after he terminated his representation.
- Elizabeth MORAN - Well this charming woman - just says whatever she wants when it comes to care and protection matters for newborns. The mother may state that she wants the child in her care and Elizabeth MORAN will happily perjure herself on the stand and say the mother wants the child in the care of the department. Who in their right brain would believe this woman? To make matters worse she will let newborn cases go well and truly into the third month before she even suggest her client get any psychological assessment to prove herself a more than capable mother, she is another DoCS Lover who needs a good kick up her arse and sacking from the Care Panel.
- ??? too happily lets newborn care matters pass the 120 day mark before requesting anything of DoCS. How is that possibly working in the best interest of the parents. Let alone the bub. (Independant) Child Representatives who do not request that parents do everything possibly immediately after having their children kidnapped should be automatically disbarred as they are not giving the child / parent relationship anywhere near the chance / assistance it needs, and after all this is supposed to be Community Services.
- Dennis HANNIGAN is now based in the Legal Aid Office at Gosford and he blatantly refuses to take back cases he deliberately ruined some years before. Good to know that Legal Aid think he is another good representor for those who are less financially capable.
Records show with all these cases that the solicitors rarely have any success with their clients, yet still continue to be the only options for the Public to choose from when they require the services of Legal Aid.
We the Public request that Legal Aid do not give these persons places back on the Care Panel. Their convictions are extremely low, and their clients would have a hell of a lot to say also, if only Legal Aid and the Law Society would listen and prevent backlash to those former clients whom these people have destroyed the lives of.
