Entering false and misleading information into evidence will generally force court procedures to carry on a great deal longer than what would be expected.  This can also lead to the unnecessary use of resources such as medico-legal experts (court psychiatrists) and other clinicians.  False and misleading information by clinicians prevents the magistrate from making correct decisions in relation to the best interest of the child, and this will generally cause further litigation.

Why does corrupt conduct of Child Protection Officers happen?

• Because currently there is no repercussions for false and misleading information.  In the Child Protection Acts the penalty is only 5 units and does not carry a significant penalty to deter officers from using false allegations to give their case more weight.
• Because Child Protection Officers know they have unlimited legal resources, and they know even if they don't get the result they desire the first time in the courts, they can breach court orders, without repercussion, and petition the matter to court as long as it takes to get their desired outcome.

How does corrupt conduct by Child Protection Officers happen?

• Firstly by putting false and misleading information into affidavits and other documents, and
• Secondly by adjourning proceedings time and time again, until the legal fees / legal aid of the parent / other party is exhausted.  This IS common DOCs practice

Why is false and misleading information a serious crime in Child Protection matters?

• Because it costs the government, for starters, over $2 billion dollars per year, and this is without court fees / costs / administrators / magistrates etc.
• Because a child who is wrongfully taken from their family, is, under all government guidelines, trafficked.
